Race Force bike transport

Taking the stress out of travel

BikeBus

Hate flying with your bike in tow? You are not alone, and UK firm Race Force believes it has the solution: an international delivery service for your steed, no disassembly needed.

There are two offerings available: the simple BikeBus service, which costs £150, and the more expensive BikeBusPro, which costs £235 and includes home pickup/drop-off, along with a post-race degreasing, tuning, lube and wash.

The service is only available for selected races, of which there are currently six on the Race Force website, including Ironman 70.3 Mallorca and Challenge Barcelona. In terms of turnaround times, Race Force promise to collect your bike the weekend before a race, and have it back in the UK within 24hrs of your triathlon ending.

Manging director Kate Linsley says: “We’re active travelling triathletes and dreaded travelling with the bikes. We started driving and taking friends bikes and it was then we realised there was something in it. We get a lot out of being at the events so our services have expanded to cover luggage, servicing, race wheels and even race accommodation.”
