Giant Control Tower Pro
Buying sexy bits of kit is always easier than having to shell out for boring essential stuff. So a 70-quid track pump was always going to be a hard sell. But Giant is pitching the Control Tower Pro as the only pump you’ll ever need.
To that end, its sturdy, cast-aluminium body makes for a tough, long-lasting construction. But should anything break or wear out, all the main parts are replaceable and the entire pump can be rebuilt.
The large barrel and equally well-sized, well-shaped handle make for quick and easy inflation (all the way up to 160psi), and the wide base keeps everything stable in the process.
The head automatically works with both Presta and Schrader valves but, when the locking lever’s released, it snaps back like Arkwright’s till in Open All Hours… if you’ll forgive the classic Brit sitcom motif!
