Time RXT

The Time RXTs have an appearance that suggests they’ll be hard wearing, comfortable and ideal for those long winter rides. When first putting the shoes on, they also seem supportive in all the right places.

But you soon realise that this perceived robustness is seriously compromised by the poor quality of the material, which seems to stretch excessively when the shoe is put under any real pressure.

The heel is well encapsulated to maintain force delivery. Unfortunately, this tight fit has also been applied to the toe box, which becomes more noticeable the longer you ride. This made for cold toes without room to wriggle and breathe on a cold September evening.

If you’re after a cheap pair of shoes to last a winter, this price is attractive but there are cheaper and better performing options out there.
