dhb R1

It’s difficult to be too critical of any product that provides such acceptable performance at a rock-bottom price. The entry level R1s are by no means perfect, though. Although they’ve received a number of plaudits, you should be aware of a few compromises.

Firstly, these shoes aren’t put together with the finest materials, and there are several OEM components such as the outsole. The construction, however, is of a high standard.

There are a few other niggles, one being the excessive levels of adjustment from the three straps, which leads to bunching and only middling stiffness. The tongue liner attachment can also interfere and is virtually impossible to adjust, resulting in a fair bit of discomfort. All things considered, though, these shoes are great value.
