Scicon AeroComfort Triathlon bike bag review
This is the tri-specific model of Scicon’s AeroComfort 2.0, one of the best soft cases for road bikes. The 2.0 combines protection with convenience by letting you pack your bike without having to remove your bars and saddle, but isn’t long enough to handle aerobars.
The Triathlon version is. Its new high and pronounced nose makes the case look like the Jawa’s Sandcrawler from the original (good) Star Wars film, but makes packing your tri bike a breeze. Inside the wheeled, padded soft case is a metal frame into which you clamp your bike.
There are side pockets for wheels and a padded pouch to further protect aerobars and bar-end shifters, although it’s too narrow to fit some wide-stance extension set-ups. It’s pricey, but not having to faff with your bars is a bonus. The only way you’ll find more protection is with a hard case.
