The Wessex Wizards was born from a small group of triathletes who started Open Water Swimming at Weymouth in September 2007. That group of eight has now become more than100! Although relatively new compared to some clubs, we are ambitious and continue to grow. Our aim is to achieve the British Triathlon Federations STAR accreditation and continue to evolve.
We now have five BTF qualified coaches for our swimming sessions, with group cycling, turbo training, track running sessions and circuit sessions for all levels.
We have developed a strong link with Yeovil Town Road Running Club, who allow Wizard members to train with them at their coached running sessions.
Our membership is open to all. We have a good mix of ages and ability. Members enjoy competing in all race lengths from sprints to Ironman. If you are interested in more information then please contact the club through the contact us page.
