Steelman adds rare Aquabike event

Dorney Lake-based tri expands for 2014 with a duo of two discipline options

Human Race have announced that their Steelman will boast a new format and a host of different distances on Saturday 12 July.

New to the Dorney Lake event for 2014 are an Aquathlon and Aquabike option. The Aquathlon is a swim-run option where entrants can either take on a 500m swim followed by a 5km run or a 1km swim followed by a 10km run.

The lesser-spotted Aquabike format is ideal for weaker runners and anyone suffering with injuries. On offer are a 500m swim followed by a 10km bike or a longer 1km swim followed by a 20k bike.

Returning to Steelman, there are Olympic (1.5km swim, 42.4km bike, 10km) and 3Quarter (1km swim, 31.8km bike and 7.5km run) triathlon distances to choose from.
