Chris McCormack and Rasmus Petreaus to battle it out this weekend

The first Challenge Philippines race will take place this Saturday (22nd Feb), with Chris McCormack (AUS) and Rasmus Petraeus (DEN) among the 20-deep male pro field.

Others confirmed to be racing this weekend include two-time ITU world champion Greg Bennett (USA) and Fredrik Croneborg (SWE), while the women’s elite race includes Challenge Melbourne champion Annabel Luxford (AUS) and British Olympic silver medalist Emma Pooley.

Over 700 age-groupers are also expected to race in the spectacular setting of Bataan, starting with a 1.9km swim in Ilanin Bay before sending athletes along a hilly 90km coastal loop, followed by a 21.1km run through the Ilanin Forest Reserve, finishing on the shores of Adventure Beach.

Check back in to the 220 website early next week to see how they got on!
