New Iron race set for the Cotswolds

Cotswold Water Park to host 226km long-distance challenge in 2014

The UK’s Iron-distance scene has another new race, with the Cotswold Water Park in Gloucestershire set to host the Cotswold 226 in August. The race will be organised by 113 Events, who promise one of the fastest long-distance courses in Europe.

Over the last three years, the Cotswold 113 and Cotswold Classic middle distance triathlons have established themselves within the middle-distance calendar, selling out every year and forming a reputation as a friendly, flexible and accommodating race over one of the fastest courses in Europe.

The popularity of the event has, in turn, evolved into a demand for an Iron Distance event based in the same location.

Cotswold 226, which will run in its first year on 10 August 2014 will be based over a largely new, flat and Fast iron distance course, and promises to be one of the easiest introductions to the distance around, or in turn, a course to go to if you’re looking to break your Ironman PB.

The race will welcome Individual entries & and relay teams, and will be run in partnership between 113 Events and DB max
