Mud & Mayhem close to selling out

Race news from Go Beyond Ultra about their Thetford duathlon...

Published: February 21, 2013 at 10:46 am

With just over a month to go until the Mud & Mayhem race series returns to Thetford on 17 March, all is set for a bumper season of racing. With inclusion in the Triathlon England Cross Race Series for 2013? entries are well up on the 250 registering in 2012.

The duathlon event combines a stunning run course along the little Ouse river with some rewarding single track riding through the trees and some wide, fast sections allowing plentiful overtaking.

Once again the Duathlon will be accompanied by a 10K trail run. The 10k is a pleasure in it’s own right, providing a beautiful mix of riverside running and forest trails with just a single hill on each lap to negotiate. Fast times are possible with the course record standing at 33:08.

With great courses, free refreshments, enthusiastic support and commemorative cycle wear for all duathletes what more could you ask for from an early season challenge?!

Race Physio will once again be supplied by The Extreme Sports Therapy unit at CCN and with all profits going to charity you can feel good about doing your bit for society as well.
