No Fuss Events reveal the details of their middle-distance race

When we introduced this event in 2010, we had a feeling that it had the potential to become a classic for middle-distance triathletes.

The beautiful Highland course, which follows lochs and glens, did not go unrecognised and in just its second year we hosted the Scottish Middle Distance Championship event. In 2012, with close to 150 entries we were pleased to confirm its popularity on the triathlon calendar.

The Highland Warrior starts in the sea at the Old Fort in Fort William where swimmers complete a 1.9km swim. This is followed by 90km on road bikes through Spean Bridge, then along the banks of Loch Laggan to the turning point at Newtonmore. After returning to Fort William for T2, the warriors then head into Glen Nevis to run 21km in the shadow of Ben Nevis.

This year we will be holding the Highland Warrior Triathlon earlier on in the season than previous years. Race day will be Sunday 26th May and with some new sponsorship for 2013 it is shaping up to be a very exciting race. For more information see the website here.
