French men dominate Istanbul ITU European Cup
Podium finishes for Lebrun, Viain and Vincent
Aurelien Lebrun led a French triple whammy in the elite men’s race in Istanbul on August 4th, while Russia’s Alexandra Razarenova won the women’s event for the first European Cup victory of her career.
Lebrun posted a time of 1:50:03 to retain the title he won in Istanbul last year, making it two wins in as many weeks after his success in Geneva.
Sharing the silverware were fellow Frenchmen Simon Viain (1:50:35) and Yohann Vincent (1:50:47).
Razarenova finished in 2:03:16 to win the elite women’s event – ahead of Ukrainian Yuliya Yelistratova (2:03:34) and Slovenia’s Mateja Simic (2:03:40).
