Challenge expands Spanish line-up

Three new middle-distance races coming in 2015: Challenge Salou, Challenge Riaza and Challenge Menorca

Menorca

Challenge will be running three new middle-distance races in Spain next year: Challenge Salou on the Costa Daurada, Challenge Riaza in the mountains near Madrid and Challenge Menorca in the Balearics.

Challenge Salou will feature a flat, single-loop and traffic-free bike course, with transitions, the run course and finish all taking place on the seafront promenade.

Challenge Riaza starts with a swim in the Riofrio reservoir near the ski resort of La Pinilla. The bike leg involves a challenging course through the foothills, and is followed by a flat and fast run to finish in the centre of the town of Riaza.

Challenge Menorca will – naturally – start with a sea swim in the clear waters off Menorca, followed by a fast inland bike course, finishing with a half-marathon along the island’s spectacular coastline.

More info on these three races will be released by the organisers in a couple of weeks, and entries will open at the beginning of September.
