Olympic gold medallist Cassandre Beaugrand to race Supertri E London
Olympic gold medallist Cassandre Beaugrand has been announced as the first athlete competing in the Supertri E London event

Olympic gold medallist Cassandre Beaugrand has been announced as the first athlete to race in the Supertri E World Championship powered by MyWhoosh, starting in London.
The sport’s biggest star will return to the London Aquatics Centre on Saturday, April 5, hoping to go one better than last year when she finished as runner-up.
This will be Cassandre Beaugrand’s fourth Supertri E appearance in London. She won the event in 2022 before finishing second to Beth Potter in both 2023 and 2024.

With the event now a one-day World Championship final, and a changed format that sees athletes swim, bike and run three times back-to-back continuously, Beaugrand is optimistic of her chances and has made clear winning the title is her first priority for the year.
She said: “I am very happy to be racing the Supertri E World Triathlon Championship powered by MyWhoosh at such an amazing venue. This will be my fourth time racing at the London Aquatic Centre and it is an incredible experience. The venue is beautiful and with thousands of very loud fans there it makes racing so much fun, even though it is hard.
“After Paris last year, I am focussed on winning world titles in 2025 and this is my first big target. I won the race in London in 2022 but was runner-up for the World Championship title last year, so I feel this is my year. I know and understand the technology and have experience with this exciting way of racing and I think and hope the slight change in race format will suit me this year more than some of the other athletes, so I am really looking forward to racing.”

Inspiring young athletes
The 2025 Supertri E World Triathlon Championship hopes to inspire the next generation of triathlon fans and athletes with tickets on sale now. In support of this mission, under 14s can attend for free (when accompanied by a paying adult), making this event accessible for families and young sports enthusiasts alike.
For the first time, the 2025 event will mirror the unique and high-pressure Supertri format of three continuous rounds of swim, bike and run, putting even more pressure on athletes with any minor mistake magnified and punished.
Tickets are available now.
