Amazon released last-minute deals and I’ve found the best for triathletes
Still looking for a last-minute gift for the triathlete in your life? I've found the best deals in Amazon's pre-Christmas discounts

Amazon have released a series of discount deals ahead of Christmas and some of them are perfect for triathletes. I’ve found the best ones for you to choose from.
Christmas is fast approaching. But if you’re still short of gifts for the triathletes in your life then Amazon have released some handy ‘big deals’, available from 9-22nd December 2024.
It’s a busy time of year though, so with years of swim, bike and run kit testing under my belt (more than Santa) I’ve scrolled through to find the best ones for triathletes. They’re also worth a look for swimmers, runners or cyclists though too as many are applicable to all or one or two sports.
Here’s my pick of the deals. Plus I’ll update this list with any more releases from Amazon as Christmas gets closer!
Soundcore by Anker P20i True Wireless Earbuds

Gear testers get sent a lot of kit, but every now and again we actually have to dig deep and buy our own kit.
Typically, one of my recent purchases was these earbuds which are now £15.99 which is a whopping 47% discount off the usual £29.99 RRP. Great for you, less good for me – though I am going to take advantage of the deal to snap up some spares!
Why do I love them? The sound quality is great for running. Plus they’re small and unobtrusive and stay in my ears perfectly, even on the toughest, sweatiest runs.
I’m really bad for losing things too and the little case makes it much easier to keep them safe and easy to find. It charges them too, so you can power them up without access to a plug or USB point. Amazon quote “10 hours of battery life on a single charge with a case that extends it to 30 hours. If Soundcore P20i true wireless earbuds are low on power, a quick 10-minute charge will give you 2 hours of playtime”. This has proved accurate in my experience.
Plus, there are five colours to choose from if you want to get these for various friends. The biggest discount is on the black though, you’ll pay a pound or so more if you want blue, pink, blue or white!
Deep tissue massage gun

Massage guns have been increasing in popularity but are likely still an item that many triathletes don’t already own. So if you want to get some brownie points for a useful gift that won’t break the bank either, this would be my pick.
There’s a 41% discount on this one taking it down from £35.99 to £21.07 which is a good price if you’re on a budget. The massage gun according to the manufacturer’s description “can help awake your muscles, accelerate muscle recovery, relieve muscle pain, reduce lactic acid accumulation, encourage blood flow and improve joints’ flexibility”.
This one comes with 30 speeds and 10 interchangeable heads that can be used to target different muscles and areas. From personal experience my most-used are the big round one (for sulky calf muscles after long trail runs) and the small ‘U-shaped’ one to get into sore shoulders after long bike rides.
Walking pad treadmill with incline

Ok, so you won’t be doing your run training on this come the new year, but that’s not the point. Weighing only 19kg this handy mini treadmill is designed for walking on and can easily slot under your desk to replace your chair while you work, meaning you get some extra movement in during the day.
I’m a big fan of walking as a way of squeezing extra activity into my day and the benefit of this is it saves you sitting down for long periods of time.
This version boasts a non-slip running belt and 6 silicone shock absorbers which can effectively reduce joint impact. The walking area is 100x40cm and the incline setting can be put up to 4 degrees.
As for the discount? It’s a good one – the walking pad is £169.99, down from £279.99 and a 39% saving.
SHOKZ OpenRun Bone Conduction Sports headphones

With a discount of 32% taking these headphones from £129.95 to just £89, it’s a great time to try them if you’ve been tempted for a while but haven’t made the move to bone conduction headphones yet.
Shokz work by sitting on the bone at the side of your ears and transmitting the sound through your skull (nifty, huh?) rather than in your ears. Sound quality is superb and we’ve always rated Shokz products highly in our reviews previously. These are waterproof for running in the rain, give 8 hours from a charge and will give you 1.5 hours of use for a 10 minute charge if you find they’re flat.
The main benefit here is using bone-conduction technology means you can still here ambient sounds around you. So if you run with music and still want to hear what’s going on around you, these are a much better choice than traditional in or on-ear headphones.
Garmin Forerunner 255

There wouldn’t be an Amazon discounts list without a good offer on a Garmin in there and luckily, I’ve spotted the one included here for you.
This time it’s the popular Forerunner 255 that has been discounted – here with 34% off taking it from £289.99 to a more festive-friendly £190.99.
I’ve used the Forerunner range for years and while the 255 might not be the flashiest model it’s more than capable of dealing with all your training needs. The 255 provides up to 14 days of battery life in smartwatch mode and up to 30 hours in GPS mode. You get training stats and profiles, sleep reports, HRV (heart rate variability) reports and other useful health tracking tools.
Free training plans are included to follow if you’re buying for someone new to training, plus it includes multi-band satellite tracking on GPS, GLONASS and Galileo networks.
Rechargeable Blukar Head Torch

One of those gifts which will be welcomed by most runners, a head torch is one of my must-haves for runs during early mornings or evenings when it’s too dark to see or be seen.
I picked this one out as it’s rechargeable, but can be boosted by USB into plug, powerpack or laptop. It’s bright with 2,000 lumens and has six modes including both white and red lights (red is handy for not blinding your club mates!).
It has a breathable elasticated head strap and a nifty on/off function where you just wave your hand in front of it to turn it on or off – useful if like me, you always have cold numb hands when you’re running!
