220 Tri Fest 2011

Head down to Kent and Clumber Park this summer for two weekends of action-packed triathlon

This summer’s events calendar will see the birth of two new weekend festival style events: 220 Trifest at Bewl Water, Kent, 8-10 July and Trifest Clumber Park, 2-4 September.

Both weekends will be a great chance to meet up and socialise with three days of entertainment, exhibitions, seminars and live music planned.

Both events have camping with quality onsite facilities and there’s plenty to keep you, family and friends occupied over the weekend: Friday will offer up a great evening of live bands including the amazing Counterfeit Stones and The Blockheads along with party bars and food areas. The expo will also be open for a quick browse.

Saturday kicks off with a fun run designed to get family and friends involved; there’s a kids’ race and tri taster event to help with training advice for those experienced triathletes and those just getting into the sport.

Seminars will run throughout Saturday and Sunday with key speakers guiding you through training, equipment, race prep and a lot more. Saturday night will see the Pasta Party kick off from 7pm.

Sunday is RACE day, which offers £10,000 in prizes. The swim and race start is just next to the festival site as is the transition areas. Cycling and run sections are set around the site, making good viewing for all those spectating.

Trifest is all about making a weekend of it in natural, beautiful surroundings.
