Tyr Tri-Colour H-Back

Tyr says this is one of its best-selling suits – and it’s not hard to see why. It has a simple yet elegant and stylish look, which always makes for a good start.

The ‘H-Back’-style straps have been designed to come wider up the chest and over the shoulders, which translates to extra support and comfort in the water. And the suit certainly felt good to wear because of this design. Out of the water and post-swim it was one of the fastest-drying suits out of the 10 suits tested.

It’s produced using Tyr’s Durafast fabric, a blend of polyester and PBT, which means it should maintain its shape well and not become baggy after several wears. In turn, it should have a long life, all of which proved true under our test conditions.

A couple of small negative points are that the suit does have quite a high-cut leg, which might not be to everyone’s liking, and the colour scheme might be a little frumpy for some. Again, it’s all down to personal preference, but for the price you’d be getting a good all-rounder.
