BlueSeventy Surpass Jammer swim shorts

Perfect for swim training, these are a modern and modest alternative to budgie smugglers

For those wanting to leave more to the imagination than is the case with skimpy swimming trunks, BlueSeventy have brought out an alternative to their race-orientated NeroXII Jammer shorts. The Surpass feature a more durable fabric (called XLA) designed specifically for training.

The cut is very similar to the Nero racing shorts – quite low on the hips and a snug fit – and they’re comfortable both in and out of the water, with a substantial drawstring keeping them in place. The simple black finish (free from logos) should wear well and, at just £25, they provide plenty of value.

Worth noting is that the Surpass don’t contain a chamois for cycling as they’re for swimming use only, so keep them away from race day and you won’t be disappointed.
