Saucony Elite Speed Henley S/S

The specification list for the Saucony running top boasts a proprietary ‘wicking’ material with an SPF of 50-plus. The functional feedback was also positive, offering good levels of overall comfort, which was probably due to the more stretchy material.

The moisture control wasn’t among the top performers on test, though, and without any mesh or specific ventilation there was the feeling that this compromised cooling.

In addition, the styling wasn’t popular and, while this does come down to personal preference, there are a few points that are worth noting. Firstly, the design itself is a little old-fashioned, although this could be described as classic or vintage!

The heavyweight V-neck did, however, feel a bit strange, and required frequent repositioning to maintain comfort. That said, as with the aesthetic, this shouldn’t be an overriding factor in your decision to purchase as fit is also a personal issue.
