Ronhill Advance S/S Crew

The Advance’s conservative use of colour hides a highly technical finish. The fabric is particularly worthy of note, with a luxurious feel that effortlessly flows over a dry body.

Construction is also well considered with a shifted side seam, contoured rear panels, and an elastic mesh at the upper back and under the arms. These all add up to good overall comfort and a fit which, although generous, doesn’t result in too much flap.

There is one issue, however, that prevents this top reaching its full potential when sweating levels increase. There seems to be a point at which the fabric (mesh in particular) seems to falter.

It’s unclear whether the seams surrounding the mesh panel are reducing the transverse wicking functionality or if it’s the fabric itself, but this does become a point of moisture build-up.

Our opinion is that this should only put off the heaviest of sweaters, as, in this top, there’s a lot of bang for your buck.
