Brooks Equilibrium S/S

The Equilibrium range from Brooks is aimed squarely at tackling thermoregulation during racing and training activities. The polyester and spandex mix certainly seems to function well by maintaining a dry, comfortable feel against the skin, even after a two-hour session.

The moisture transfer doesn’t result in a wet feeling shirt, either, and must therefore be in tune with the body’s evaporative processes. Any sweat marks were confined to the green fabric but these weren’t noticeable enough to cause any kind of embarrassment.

Interestingly, there were also no residual odours that are often associated with the sort of fabrics employed here, but there’s no mention in the marketing of any anti-bacterial additives.

The only problem encountered was the typical one in this sort of garment: the seams. Unfortunately, they constantly remind you of their presence by rubbing against the side of your body.
