Sigma Onyx Pro

Sigma’s Onyx Pro is one of the cheapest HR monitors available, but the company with a strong track record cycling computers hasn’t skimped on the details. While the Onyx Pro may not be the sexiest object, it feels well built, with some quality materials and simple design.

As soon as you get your fingers on the buttons, you realise how intuitive and easy to navigate the user interface is. Choosing between standard training modes such as interval, endurance and even a special marathon setting couldn’t be easier. You can choose between using heart rate limits or entering your own anaerobic threshold for specific training zones, while the heart rate strap is coded so you shouldn’t get any overlap with training partners or competitors.

For a simple HRM, with all the standard functions and a few extras, you’ll find it hard to beat the Onyx Pro for price and quality.
