SH+ Shabli bike helmet review

Comfy, and offers top-line performance for a great price

The Shabli is SH+’s top-line road helmet, as used by the Neri Sottoli pro cycling team. It’s a one-size-fits-all lid, although the stated range is 55-60cm, which might prove a problem for anyone at either extreme of the sizing scale.

Our test sample came in really close to the claimed 230g, which makes it highly competitive in the market for its price-to-weight ratio.

While not packed with features like some of its big-name competitors, the Shabli’s comfort was second-to-none, allowing us to ride in it for hours without even a hint of discomfort.

At the back, the retention system works well, although there’s no up/down adjustment, which might prove a problem for some.

Inside, the Sitip padding is some of the best we’ve ever used, with an almost memory foam-like feel to it. If only we could remove this and use it on all our road helmets!
