Gore Bike Wear Oxygen GT AS Jacket

At the Gore-Tex Active Shell launch last year, we were given a prototype jacket to test – and were very impressed. So seeing this breathable waterproof laminate on the market in garments like the Oxygen is exciting indeed.

Gore Bike Wear consistently produces superior products from its sister company’s laminates, and this is no exception. The athletic cut and stretch inserts mean that you can stay dry without sacrificing aero efficiency. The long arms don’t ride up when you’re stretched out, and the zipped stretchy cuffs provide an effective wind- and rain-proof seal.

A high, soft, fabric-lined collar keeps your neck comfortable and warm, and the liner doesn’t suffer so much from that unpleasant ‘sliminess’ that many other waterproofs do.

The long tail with a silicone gripper and partially elasticated waist keeps your backside dry, and the whole jacket packs down into a bike-jersey pocket-sized stuff sack. All in all, brilliant stuff.
