Assos ClimaJet Breaker

Assos ClimaJet

As you might expect from Assos, they’ve delivered a considered design on a well-finished garment. Although their offering still packs down sufficiently to allow easy pocket storage, the material is a little heavier than some other ‘lightweight’ jackets.

The extra weight has gone into a more water-resistant material that does suffer on the breathability front. Interestingly, Assos makes no attempt to hide this and the supporting marketing material presents welcome and rare levels of honesty!

Assos has made sound attempts to overcome the breathability issues by adding very large, well-contoured vents that run under the arm and along the sides. Naturally, this allows water in, but perhaps offers a good compromise for overall user comfort in most weather conditions.

Soft fabric in the collar and stretchy vent panels ensure an amazing fit on the bike. The long arms and contoured back seem to hug the body but feels a little odd when out of the riding position.
