Minoura LiveRide 760

Quiet, smooth and easy to use. You pay a bit more, but you won't regret it

Minoura’s Live Ride trainers work in conjunction with their iPhone app to add a little spice to your winter workouts.

While a good bonus feature, it remains a great trainer whether or not you decide to make use of the extras.

Resistance comes courtesy of a 2.7kg flywheel and twin neodymium magnets that provide a wonderfully smooth ride and low noise levels.

Changes in pace are rewarded with smooth, progressive increases in resistance and there’s more than enough range in the resistance to spin along or churn out of the saddle.

The classic ‘H’ frame is extremely stable, withstanding full-on sprinting without us worrying about falling off.

It’s also very easy to get the bike in to and out of, making it a good option for a warm-up before an outdoor ride, as well as a serious indoor training machine.

Another bonus is that you can download a free Sufferfest training video – a fantastic way to teach your legs a good, old-fashioned lesson…
