The ‘impressive’ Garmin Forerunner 965 is £100 off in this Black Friday deal
Make the most of the Black Friday discounts with big savings on some of the best triathlon watches.
The Garmin Forerunner 965 is the second-tier multisport watch in its series and is only two years old, so with £100 off for Black Friday it’s a pretty good deal.
Compared to its predecessor, its upgraded screen makes it much brighter and easier to read while running, cycling and swimming.
You also get the reliable GPS and in-depth training features Garmin is renowned for.

In his Garmin Forerunner 965 review, our smartwatch expert James Witts called it “an impressive watch, but expensive”. And indeed it is at the RRP of $499.99/£499.99.
But it’s now as low as £399.99 in Black Friday sales, making the cost less of an obstacle.
If you already own the Forerunner 955, James doesn’t recommend upgrading. You’ll do well to find this older version for sale now though. So if you are looking to upgrade from a more basic watch the Forerunner 965 could fit the bill.
Aside from its most noticeable new feature, the crystal clear AMOLED screen, the Forerunner 965 provides advanced running metrics. Studying cadence, vertical oscillation, stride length and ground contact time help you to improve your run economy and reduce injury risk.

The way this watch tracks your training load and status is also more sophisticated than before. It compares your acute load (one week) to your chronic load (four weeks), indicating whether your progress is likely slow or non-existent, optimal or that you could be overtraining.
All best stuff of the Forerunner series stays. You get comprehensive multisport profiles; daily workout suggestions personalised according to recent training data and highly accurate multi-band GPS. The optical heart-rate sensor is one of the better around too.
The range-topping Garmin Forerunner 970 comes with more bells and whistles. But this discount widens the price gap even further, making the 965 an attractive proposition.
