After thousands of you took to the polls to nominate your tri heroes of 2009 in stage one, the second and final stage of voting for the 220 Triathlon Awards 2010 is now open.

The five candidates from each category with the most votes are now through to the second round, where you're now asked to select the winner of each award. The second round will run from Wednesday 9 December to Friday 8 January. The winners will be announced at the 220 Triathlon Awards ceremony, to be held at Sandown Park, Surrey, on Saturday 13 February 2010, during the weekend of the TCR Show at the same venue. This year's guests at the awards are the Ironman hero, Dave Scott, who will be handing out the awards, and Geoff Miller, the England cricket player turned King of the after-dinner scene.

Click here (http://www.220triathlon.com/webform/220-triathlon-awards-2010-stage-2) to vote in the second and final round of the 220 Awards 2010. Remember to only vote once and for one entry per category.

Good luck in the voting!

Beginner triathlon training should focus on learning how these three separate events interact with one another, and how this affects your body.

When choosing triathlon workouts, it should contain achievable goals for you to meet each calendar week and should increase the load gradually.

If you can, try to recruit a friend or join a team for beginner triathlon training. Your calendar (and, if you can find one, your training partner) will help keep you on track and progressing along your beginner triathlete training plan.

Is it possible for people to vote who have no email address? I could vote for them under my email address but I would not wish to be deemed to have made a multiple application
