K-Swiss, the Californian sports brand, has created The Million Dollar Challenge by challenging Ironman runners Michael and Andreas Raelert to finish in first and second position at the 2011 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. If they achieve the feat, it will mark the largest sum ever awarded in the competition’s 33 year history.

The brothers, who are from Germany, have both vowed to complete the gruelling 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run in first and second place. They are two of the top triathletes in the world, with Andreas having competed in two Olympic Games and Michael winning Ironman 70.3 races in Switzerland, California, and Germany, and breaking the iron-distance record in Roth this weekend.

To promote the event, K-Swiss has created a competition that gives customers a chance to win a trip to see the brother’s battle it out in Hawaii on October 8th 2011. Entry into the Million Dollar Challenge competition can be done at www.facebook.com/kswiss. The prize will include all travel, accommodation and VIP passes for the event.
