Sandown Park in Surrey will once again play host to the Triathlon, Cycling and Running Show (TCR) in February 2010 (13-14). Among the exhibitors at TCR10 will be American bike manufacturer Blue Competition Cycles who, in conjunction with Drag2Zero, are offering one lucky 220 reader the chance to win a Blue Triad frameset (worth £1,799) and an expert wind-tunnel aero fit (worth £490) at the Brawn GP wind-tunnel facility in Brackley.

Based in Norcross, Georgia, USA, Blue has a full range of models (road, TT, MTB and cyclocross) and some truly innovative promotions. In launching the Triad, their TT bike, Blue has become the first bike company in the world to offer every customer who purchases a Triad (SRAM Red or Dura Ace 7900 build) a free wind-tunnel aero fit.

There are a handful of bike manufacturers claiming to be builders of the fastest bike in the world, but Blue recognises that up to 85% of the drag is the rider. So in partnership with wind-tunnel experts Drag2Zero, Blue can provide the customer with a unique experience that will assist them in achieving the most comfortable aerodynamic position, unique to their body shape and size.

After an aero fit, Simon Smart, owner of Drag2Zero, typically finds, on average, at least a 10% efficiency improvement for each rider. And you don’t have to be a TT specialist to benefit, as anyone will be able to ride faster using a Blue Triad frameset and custom positioning from the Drag2Zero team.
