This year's Jenson Button Triathlon will be held on Saturday 12 July in the grounds of Luton Hoo country hotel in Bedfordshire, where the F1 driver himself will be racing as well as giving out the prizes.

The 2014 event (website here) will give competitors a chance to race twice, with the preliminary heat consisting of a 300m lake swim, 9km bike ride and 2.5km run, and the top performers going on to a longer final race (750m/15km/5km). The runners up from the preliminary heat will be entered into a ‘wooden spoon’ race.

The event village will host a post-race party with prizes given out by Jenson, as well as live music and a barbecue. Last year's race saw the 2009 Formula 1 World Champion place 17th out of a very strong field, completing the sprint distance finals in 55:41mins.

This year's event has a new charity partnership with Cancer Research UK, with the Jenson Button Trust creating the following video to raise awareness:
