With nearly 600 athletes taking the plunge at the Triathlon Ireland Sprint Distance National Championships on 7 June, the host event Crooked Lake Triathlon continues to grow and grow.

This year’s race was won by Ben Shaw (fresh from his outing at WTS London the previous weekend) in 54:08mins – a new course record, while women’s winner Katie Cooke notched up her 3rd Sprint Distance title in as many years in a time of 1:03:38.
