TriGrandPrix has announced the launch of the 2011 TriGrandPrix Series with five triathlon experiences, each offering significant prize money.

The 2011 TriGrandPrix Experiences will be hosted in the UK, Ireland, France, Spain and the Basque Country between May and September. At the end of the Series, male and female World Champions will be announced based on a points system.

TriGrandPrix, Serious About Athlete Care, was launched in 2010 to massive global acclaim. TriGrandPrix’s explosive growth continues with the launch of five Experiences within the 2011 Series. These Experiences each encompass multiple events over varying distances. This format ensures that there is an opportunity for everyone to participate. At TriGrandPrix, first time triathletes participate alongside the sport’s top professionals and world champions. There’s even a kid’s triathlon at each TriGrandPrix Experience.

‘The TriGrandPrix Series has added a spark in the professional triathlon community with its commitment to providing athlete care. This focus on athlete care, along with the exciting new racing venues in places you would normally only dream about, sets the stage for a series of events that you will regret if you miss.’ Leanda Cave, 2010 TriGrandPrix World Champion, three times Ironman 70.3 World Champion and course record holder.

‘What excites me about TriGrandPrix is having the opportunity to have a world-class multi-distance Series and test myself against the best Triathletes in the world in Olympic, half and long distance events’, Eneko Llanos, the 2009 XTERRA World Champion.

Entries open on December 1st 2010 and demand to enter this new exciting series is already reaching fever level.

‘I am so excited that TriGrandPrix is putting together a world class series which will in the future attract the world's very best athletes. It's also pretty awesome that TriGrandPrix has made Athlete Care such a huge priority - this is something that is so often overlooked but does go very far in the eyes of all the athletes involved,’ added Mirinda Carfrae, the 2010 Ironman World Champion.

TriGrandPrix already has plans for fifteen Experiences around the globe by 2012 and forty by 2014.
