Tickets sell out for Ironman Nice

Next year’s Ironman Nice has sold out in record time, with 2,800 athletes snapping up all available spots three months earlier than last year.

The 2014 race starts on 29 June with a two-lap sea swim off the Cote d’Azur, followed by a challenging bike leg through mountain villages, before concluding with a four-loop run along the beachfront.

This year’s winners were the 2013 Ironman World Champ Frederik Van Lierde (BEL) and Mary Ellis of the USA. Star British age-grouper Catherine Faux came fourth.
