This just in from Richard Iles, one of the UK's finest race organisers…

RaceNewForest is pleased to announce the launch of an additional event to be run in conjunction with its legendary “ForestMan” on 26 and 27 June.

The new event, to be known as The BoskMan*, will take place over the same course as possibly the UK’s toughest iron-distance triathlon but include only two laps of its swim and bike courses and one lap of the run.

Those taking part in the 2.6km swim, 75-mile bike and 12.5-mile run will benefit from the ForestMan aid stations as well as the comprehensive and fantastic pre- and post-race buffets/ facilities available at its top quality venue at Sandy Balls Holiday Centre.

So if you fancy being part of that unique RaceNewForest Iron Day atmosphere but aren’t quite sure about taking on the full distance and the toughest run in the country, give this one a crack.

Only 150 slots will be available and RaceNewForest will be offering priority entry to those who have missed out on the SwashBuckler and have signed up on the waiting list. Entries on-line via www.racenewforest.co.uk.

On-Line entries will also be going live this week for OneLastTri in early October along with The Sandy Balls Duathlon.

* A ”bosk” is a small wooded area or thicket… .we thought it sounded more polite than “ThicketMan”!!!!!
