With the Tour de France starting in Yorkshire this July, organisers of the Blacksheep Ripon Triathlon are hoping some of the thousands of spectators will stick around to take part in their event the following weekend.

More than 4,000 people are expected to come along to the event on 12-13 July, which will include Tour-inspired 100mile and 44mile sportive rides around the official TdF route via Grassington and back to Ripon.

Other highlights of the weekend include an Olympic distance triathlon (1,500m swim/40km bike/10km run) on 12 July, a junior triathlon for young athletes the following day, and a full weekend of entertainment at the triathlon village. For more info head here.
