Bit of Thursday morning fun – name your favourite image from this year's opening race

With the 2014 World Triathlon Series over, the ITU has started its annual competition to find its best race photo from the series. We start with Auckland…

To recap, Jodie Stimpson got her WTS season off to a flying start after a shrewd bike breakaway and hard run that helped her finish 25secs ahead of second-placed Anne Haug (GER). Helen Jenkins impressed with bronze in her first WTS race in nearly two years.

In the men’s race, Javier Gomez (ESP) and Jonny Brownlee (GBR) picked up where they left off at WTS London last September with a tough head-to-head battle that saw the Spaniard break away in the closing stages of the 10km run and give himself enough time to jog to the finish line worth around 20secs to spare.

Here’s last year’s winning photo, which shows Gomez rising out of the saddle at the head of the peloton to attack the city’s tough bike course:
