Pete Jacobs signs with ASICS

Aussie Pro Iron-distance triathlete Pete Jacobs has been signed by footwear giants ASICS as a brand ambassador.



The deal will see 2011 Kona runner up Jacobs using ASICS footwear and apparel exclusively for both training and racing during the coming seasons. Jacobs will also wear the Onitsuka Tiger range of lifestyle and casual footwear and clothing when not training.



"I'm always in close contact with my management about wanting to work with the best in the business when it comes to all my sponsors," said Jacobs. "ASICS has a long history of producing the highest quality performance footwear and apparel so it was a very easy decision for me to enter a working partnership with them.



"They have such a wide range of quality products so I'll have plenty of options on and off the race course."



Jacobs is due to start his 2012 season in Australia at the Geelong multisport festival in February.
