The Outlaw Half Triathlon has sold out after opening for entries just a week ago. The middle distance race, covering a 1.2mile swim, 56mile bike ride and 13.1mile run, is now full with 1,100 people now focussed on the start line in Nottingham on 2 June 2013.

The Outlaw Half is launching for the first time in 2013. It is based on having the same venue, course and set up as the 220 Award-winning long distance Outlaw Triathlon, which takes place on 7 July and is also sold out for 2013.

Event organiser, Iain Hamilton said: “There are a few charity places available through Cancer Research UK, but already some of these have been sold. We will also have a waiting list in place.

“We’re really grateful that people are prepared to be patient and wait for slots, and we’ll try to accommodate them if we possibly can.

“We certainly didn’t expect the half and the full distance events to be sold out already and we’re now focussed on making the events really special for everyone involved.”

Charity places are available from Cancer Research UK. Anyone interested in racing and raising money for Cancer Research can book a place now by calling 0871 641 2403 or email sportsteam@cancer.org.uk. Contact info@onestepbeyond.org.uk to get onto the waiting list.
