Race Director Garry Haynes of Rugby Triathlon Club said: "We've had some very positive feedback about this inaugural Daventry Triathlon and the day went as smoothly as we hoped. I'd just like to recognise the support we've had from Daventry District Council, Daventry Leisure Centre, volunteers and all our commercial sponsors and supporters. Seeing so many new competitors to the sport was fantastic and we hope they've now got the bug to do some more triathlon races and maybe even another Daventry Triathlon next year."
