With a popular race series already established in Snowdonia, organisers Always Aim High have revealed that they plan to launch a major new event in the Welsh capital next June.

The Cardiff Triathlon will be held on Sunday 28 June 2015, with more than 2,000 athletes expected to take part. The race will start with a swim in Cardiff Bay, followed by a cycle through the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan.

The race will finish with a run out to the Cardiff Bay Barrage, and the event village and transition zone will be held on Roald Dahl Plass in front of the Wales Millennium Centre.

The organisers – whose roster also includes the Snowman, Slateman and Sandman – say they’ll put a limited number of entries up for sale on Monday 3 November for everyone who’s preregistered here.

General entries will open on Monday 1 December, when route information will be revealed on the event website.
