Organisers of The Vachery Triathlon Festival have been overwhelmed by the interest in the first year event. "We've exceeded our first year target for entries and we're still answering emails and taking telephone calls." Mark Davis told 220.
"We're closing entries at midnight on Monday 20 August, a few days earlier than planned, to compile race starter lists and make sure we deliver the top quality event our entrants and supporters deserve."
Set near Cranleigh in the Surrey hills, the Vachery Triathlon Festival features Road and Xtri Cross Triathlons and a Big Swim Festival from 25-27 August 2012.
Races on offer include (deep breath)… Individual Senior, Junior and Youth Triathlon, Senior Team Relay Races at sprint and standard distances on both road and Xtri/cross (MTB) courses. Two open.water big swim races of 1,500m and 3,000m are also on offer.
