The organisers of the London and Blenheim Triathlons, Challenge World, are aiming to take the fear out of triathlon with two training days next summer.

The IMG Challenger World Triathlon Training Days, which will take place on 3rd and 4th May 2014, have previously inspired hundreds of athletes to take part in triathlon for the first time and helped them master the fundamentals of each discipline.

In 2013, 89% of 300 participants at the Training Days were first timers and 100% went on to take part in at least one triathlon that season. 100% of participants also believed the sessions improved their knowledge of triathlon events and 97% of participants said they would recommend the training days to a friend.

The Training Days act as preparation for the London Triathlon and Blenheim Palace Triathlon by delivering open water swimming, cycling and running sessions as well as a seminar to offer knowledge, guidance, and support that will help participants get ready for their up and coming training programmes.

LIMITED PLACES

Last year’s training day’s sold out and with limited places left for 2014, participants are advised to visit www.thelondontriathlon.co.uk/training-days as soon as possible to secure a place and avoid disappointment.

The sessions will take place at Thames Young Mariners, Ham Lake, Richmond, Surrey, TW10 7RX.

For those participants seeking to convert their training into a sporting challenge in 2014, the London Triathlon is still open for entries, but participants must secure their place soon as possible as the world’s largest triathlon has sold over 75% of general entries and the current price freeze ends on 1st January 2014.

The event will take place on 2-3 August 2014 offering a variety of distances to participants with Super Sprint, Sprint, Olympic and Olympic Plus waves available for general entry, as well as the option to compete as individuals or as part of a team relay. Visit www.thelondontriathlon.co.uk to enter.

The Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Blenheim Palace Triathlon has now sold out of general entries but charity pledge places are still available at www.theblenheimtriathlon.com
