Leanda Cave, Jodie Swallow, Rachel Joyce and Liz Blatchford are all currently in the lead group of the bike leg at Ironman Hawaii, with the turnaround point in Hawi now a distant speck behind them.

Jostling for position in the front pack are Meredith Kessler (USA), Caroline Steffen (SUI), Michelle Vesterby (DEN) and Amanda Stevens (USA).

After some aggressive riding earlier, Mirinda Carfrae (AUS) lost the leaders and has fallen 6mins behind along with Mary Beth Ellis (USA).

In the men's race meanwhile, Luke McKenzie (AUS) and Andrew Starykowicz (USA) are alternating the lead with T2 fast approaching. Our plucky Brit Dan Halksworth placed 10th out of the swim but fell to 28th at Hawi.

Can the girls make it a British 1-2-3? Tell us what you think in the comments below!
