Ironman launch their race preparation days for 2012

Ironman UK and thetrilife.com have announced the dates of their race preparation days for the 2012 season

Ironman UK and thetrilife.com have announced the dates of their race preparation days for the 2012 season, these being one day courses to provide attendees with the chance to experience all aspects of the race course and increase their confidence ahead of race day.

It is important to train specifically for the conditions in which you are going to be racing, and these courses enable athletes to try out the route and determine exactly what awaits them on race day. The course will be led by expert coaches from thetrilife.com and attendees will be given a comprehensive itinerary so to ensure that they can get the very most out of their day.

Members of the Ironman team will also be on hand throughout the day to help with more specific race questions, and assist the coaching team with giving the most comprehensive overview to all attendees.

Throughout the day each athlete will have the opportunity to,

Take part in a coached swimming session.

Cycle a lap of the cycle course with coach direction and assistance.

Run a lap of the run course with coach direction and assistance.

Walk through the transition areas and see exactly where everything will be located.

Attend a thetrilife.com seminar to discuss how to maximise their final weeks of training and get the best out of race day.



The 2012 preparation day dates are as follows:

Ironman 70.3 UK: 21st April, 22nd April, 12th May and 13th May 2012

Ironman UK: 2nd and 3rd June 2012

Ironman Wales: 28th and 29th July 2012
