Ironman adds Poland to next year's 70.3 European tour

Coastal city of Gdynia to host middle distance race next August, with age-group slots to the 2016 world champs up for grabs (along with cash prizes)

The Ironman 70.3 European tour has got a new stopover for 2015 – the Polish sea port of Gdynia, a short trip along the coast from the major city of Gdansk.

Ironman 70.3 Gdynia will be held on 8 August 2015, with 35 age-group slots on offer for the 2016 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Mooloolaba, Queensland (Australia).

Athletes will the start the race from a beach along Gdansk Bay, and the cycling route will lead athletes through the centre of the city, while the run course takes the competitors along the seaside boulevard.
