The hills of North Yorkshire were alive with triathlon last weekend, with around 1,800 competitors taking part in this year’s Castle Howard Triathlon and a Channel 4 film crew on hand to capture it all.

On the Saturday, 400 children and 700 adults took part in the age-group races, with entries including 25 members from York Triathlon Club, The North Yorkshire Police Club, Highfield School students and the Howard children racing a relay together. Full results here.

In the elite races, Xterra champions Ben Allen and Jacqui Slack won the Olympic distance races, while the Bastion middle-distance races were won by Matt Leeman and Hannah Drewett. Despite not being able to compete himself due to recent injury at Ironman Nice, top British athlete Harry Wiltshire was there to cheer on Drewett, who he coaches at Driven to Tri.

Channel 4’s TV highlights package will be aired on 7 September, hosted by Olympian and sports broadcaster Aly Rowell. The 2015 event will be held on 25/26 July and entries are already open here.
