ICB are a small British-based firm looking to offer quality bike components at realistic prices. They currently offer a selection of lights and bottle cages, but we’ve got our hands on a set of their brand-new carbon/alloy clinchers – ICB’s first-ever wheelset.

The construction means that, unlike similar offerings from Vision (T42) or Bontrager (Aura 5), they’re not just an alloy clincher with added carbon sections to boost aerodynamics.

ICB’s sections are a carbon and alloy mix, effectively a double wall, aiming to produce added stiffness.

On top of that, they’re moulded in a ‘bullet’ profile to aid aerodynamics, but allegedly will also help with handling in crosswinds. Coming with titanium skewers as standard, they have spare spokes in the box too – an unusual but certainly welcome step.

Claimed weight for the set is 1,600g and they come with either a Shimano or Campagnolo 11s compatible freehub.
