F3 Events has announced the first ever Maxifuel Marlow Half Iron Distance Triathlon, a triathlon consisting of a river swim, cycling and running, taking place 2012 on Sunday 24 June.

The event (1.9km swim, 86km Bike, 20km Run) is open to all levels of participant and encourages first time triathletes to the event. The swim is a 1,900m one-lap course in the River Thames and is designed to make even the weakest swimmer get a fast swim split.

The bike Course is 86km and only has two main hills, other wise it’s flat and fast. It uses the Henley/Marlow Road and some of the Challenge Henley Triathlon Course along the Fairmile near Henley.

Please note it is on a main road and due care to be taken.

The Run is four laps of a 5km route on tarmac and grass footpaths and meanders back towards Marlow and into the finish at Higginson Park from the river towpath.

F3 Events would like to thank High Wycombe County Council and the support from local businesses, charities and retail partners.
