Extreme Man is a new triathlon series taking place in Southern Europe in 2013.
The series will comprise four races, all at half iron-distance:
May 5 at Salou on the Costa Dorada in the Spanish province of Tarragona, July 7 at Gexto in the Basque country, September 8 in Narbonne, France and the final race of the series on 22 September on the Balearic island of Minorca.
The first event in Salou already has 1,100 athletes registered, including 2013 Abu Dhabi champ Frederick Van Lierde.
Organisers Win Sports Factory are responsible for the sprint and Olympic-distance 'Wild Wolf Triathlon Series by Polar' that take place in Spain. 7,500 athletes raced in the series in 2012.
